Hi,

i've received yesterday evening task h1_0568.50_S5R4__174_S5GCEa_0. i crunched it until now and reported it back.

the task doesnt show up on the task list and the other task that im running (h1_0568.50_S5R4__423_S5GCEa_2) isnt showing up either.

whats going on here? crunching for nothing?

PS: cannot post links to this task for obivious reason

Hi HAmsty,

according to boincstats.com there are two users named HAmsty. Probably this was not intentional.

You must use the same account for the forums AND during attach to project process.

The host showing up on your account page (2686901) had its last contact to the server at 4 May 2010 22:23:14 UTC and reports no tasks.

Go to your BOINC data directory and look for files named stoutdae* (I'm not sure about a suffix in linux). In that file, look for a line like28-Apr-2010 09:37:20 [Einstein@Home] URL: http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/; Computer ID: 917069; location: home; project prefs: defaultand compare the computer IDs (the above line is from my stdoutdae.txt).

i've searched for this file, but couldnt find it. i'm using dotsch_uxs live cd on this virtual machine. in the boinc.log file, i found the standard messages, but non of your kind. :/

einstein is attached via bam, i thinked something is really wrong here. i think, i reattach. could it be a problem if the hostname isnt unique?

I made a typo in my post: the file name is stdoutdae, but since I never saw a boinc.log, it's possible that Dotsch changed the name.

I'm not sure about the unique host name either, sorry.

[edit]When you used BAM! to attach to Einstein, did you use "Create account" or "Find account" and is your user name at BAM! also "HAmsty"?[/edit]
