My computer is currently engaged in work unit "h1_0530.30_s5r2_317_s5r2c_0" "using einstein _s5r2 version 433".
Status is as follows: CPU Time is up to 94:00:13; showing 25.924 % progress.
Concerns are: Time to completion is ranging between 153-155 hours with deadline fixed at 9/7/2007 6:41:41.
Should I prematurely abandon this work unit or let deadline expire.?

The numbers look odd.

Is the progress increasing? If not => quit boinc and restart

Do you have the Einstein@Home Screensaver active? If so: chosse a different screensaver. It's just too CPU hungry on some (not all!) systems.

Anything else CPU intensive running on your system that might "steal" CPU cycles from Einstein? In 94 CPU-hours, your P4 (even if it's "just" on 1.4 GHz) should do much better than 25 % of a monster WU.

The screen saver was active. I deactivated it as suggested. "CPU Time compared to "Time to Completion" has improve significantly. Thanks!
