Results page from boinc click

The results page for seti@home shows the totals for all items (all, in progress, pending, invalid, error) on the top but einstein@home doesn't. I'd like to see that implemented because it's much easier to manage things.

One more point, I'd like to see the default click to reflect "show task id names" by default instead of task id numbers. We see task names in boinc but have to do an extra click on the web browser to get that information.

I can see all these options on the top of any pages I look at. It's a BOINC feature added some time ago and it's been like that for quite a while here at Einstein (whenever the server code was updated to the relevant version). I don't know why you don't see them.

Once again, that's probably something you would need to ask the BOINC Devs about. Most projects just use what BOINC provides and tend to resist the urge to further customise things unless it's absolutely necessary. If 'task names' were set as the default, it might have an adverse affect on people without wide-screen monitors. For that reason, I tend to prefer it the way it is, even though I mostly view these pages on a wide-screen monitor these days. I do remember how bad it looks when trying to view these pages on a small screen if 'task names' is selected :-).

Cheers,
Gary.

I can see the options too, but the OP was speaking of the totals of tasks in each category. That's "new" at SETI@home (see my listing as an example.

You are right though in that's a BOINC feature. So, it will arrive at Einstein@home with on of the next server upgrades.

Gundolf

Ahhh.... I see. Thanks for the correction. I haven't looked at a Seti page in rather a long time so I didn't know about the totals :-). Upgrading the server code is quite a lot of work so it might be a while for those new bits to turn up here, unfortunately.

Cheers,
Gary.

I would like to 'wish' this

I would like to 'wish' this again as it is in place over at Albert...

Next 20
State: All (93) | In progress (0) | Pending (50) | Valid (43) | Invalid (0) | Error (0)
Application: All (93) | Binary Radio Pulsar Search (93) | Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search (0)

I find it is very useful.
Thanks

Hi I would like that too

Hi

I would like that too but is it possible to sort the Validated apss after computed time?
Some people are using their pc for other apps than einstein or they try other drivers and bios settings and they could better compare their computing timings.

FWIW I just backported

FWIW I just backported filering by application.

This is a bit harder to code, and it will probably stress the DB a bit more. I don't think that I'll find the time to backport it to the current code.

That's reasonable and easy to do. Done.

There seems to be a slight breakage in the 'Show IDs' link to return (if desired) to the previous format. Doesn't worry me which format is chosen as the default (although 'by ID' fits better on smaller screens), but I'd like to retain the option to choose.

Indeed, it's not as easy as I thought. Anyone knows how to distinguish 'false' from '0' in PHP? Reverted for now, until I find a better solution.
