So according to the newest piece in the news section on the front page, no new pulsars were found, correct? I was considering joining, but I'd like to know if einstein@home finds a lot a new pulsars... does anyone have any statistics for this?

Currenttly there are actually two experiments going on here:

The search for a direct detection of continuous gravitational signals in data of the LIGO detectors. Those are the S5R1/S5R2/...S5R5 experiments. That's what the most recent news article is about. It's discussed in more detail here, in the science section.

Another experiment is the "Arecibo Binary Pulsar search" (ABP1) which looks for electromagnetic signals from binary systems where at least one star is a pulsar. That search is quite new and AFAIK no results have been published yet.

Directly detecting a gravitational wave (GW) (caused by a pulsar or any other source) has never been done before and would be a major breakthrough. It's hard to predict when this breakthrough will happen, both the detectors and the detection software are improving steadily.

Detecting pulsars by their EM emissions has been done before, so it's less spectacular, but on the other hand the number of sources found should be higher than for the GW search.
