Sorry, you have to wait for the project to upgrade the server or release a 64bit app.

Rosetta has released a 64bit app.

I would expect this project to upgrade the server, they are usually pretty good about updating the server frequently. However I have no official information.

I just downloaded the new

I just downloaded the new "64-bit" version of BOINC version 5.10.7 and am recieving the same error, "Message from server: Platform 'windows_x86_64' not found." Should I just uninstall this version and go back to the previous version that was working? I have a system running Vista Ultimate 64-bit with an X6700 Core 2 Duo and 2 Gb of RAM.

I am still expecting this

I am still expecting this project to upgrade the server any day now. When they do that the 32bit app will be sent to 64bit clients automatically. So provided you are attached to a second or backup project I would keep the 64bit client and wait for the admins to upgrade. That is what I have done on my 64bit host.

You could also download the

You could also download the 32b code (GNU/Linux):
Einstein@Home Beta Testing
and install it as per the instructions in that section.
The app_info.xml file will need to be modified, after the 421 tag, insert:
x86_64-linux-pc

Restart Boinc, and Einstein should come to life for you.

I think we talk about the

I think we talk about the windows version like i have running vista 64 ult.
Most projects haven't got a 32 bit version for this platform and NON have a 64 bit version.
Looks to me its gonna take ages for we see a 64 bit app for boinc.
Meanwhile i run those 3 who do work except rosetta that project won't ever get any work done by me for as long as i live again.

A bit off topic...but still... what's your issue with Rosetta, if I may ask?

My issue with rosetta that i

My issue with rosetta that i posted comments about the way this projects give credits on a not fair way, all c2d intel machines get double amounts of points for the same work as a amd/p4 has done (9000 seconds of work on what ever machine must be rewarded the same in my opinion)

If projects start to favor cpu's and reward double the amount then for me that's not acceptable.

And even worse if i post on the forums about this or anyone who does give their opion it gets deleted by the admins.

For me if i can't even express my ideas or not being able to address an unfair situation or a bug or whatever and it gets deleted this projects are not worth my expenssive paided electra nor my time, effort and money.

In many cases i spended thousands of hours running alpha's and beta's and lost thousands of credits by crashing boinc or clients.

So yes when that happens to me like they did by rosetta i drop that project forever.

Second rosetta has no x64 version if it has a version who runs on x64 it will be 32 bit app running in x64 boinc like riesel sieve, seti and leiden classical.

But i haven't seen on any forum that any project has a real 64 app, the only i know who is testing is riesel sieve ( the problem with windows 64 seems complex)

PS: (Seems i have this (RS beta X64) running and i can say its about double so fast as the normal app) now lets see if it keeps running stable.
At this point i found out that it don't like reboots
