Hi, I'm new to Einstein's BOINC, but I'm not new to Distribute computing projects...

Now, as you can see in my user tasks page HERE

You can see tasks 112054325 and 111783128 got almost the same credit, yet one of them used 117,000 cpu seconds and the other used 63,000 cpu seconds, you can look at both of the computers, the computer running Windows (which used more cpu seconds) is actually better than the Linux computer, but still under linux the task took less time to run and got awarded with the same credit.

So, Einstein works much better under Linux? or am I missing something here?

Thank you.

Linux crunching double as fast as Windows?

Most of the difference is that your Linux computer is not using Hyperthreading while the Windows one is. The windows one is still more productive since it does 2 WUs at the same time.

Linux is slightly faster with current official Einstein apps, you can upgrade to Windows app 6.09 to even things out.
