Apologies if this is a known bug.

Anyway I just started running the E@H client today in my system tray (no screensaver), and hitting the show graphics button does nothing. I googled a bit and came up with nothing, except the vague notion that it might be ATi card-specific.

I've got a 9800Pro, and nothing happens when I hit it, except that the BOINC manager loses focus as though it's spawning a new window that never appears but is supposed to have focus.

Boinc version 4.26 has problems with ati video cards, I had to rollback to version 4.19 The new version I believe, 4.27 that is due out directly also has problems with ati video cards.

I have the same problem.

I have the same problem. ATI9600pro Ultra on a laptop computer. I just installed E@H today for the first time and it's also my first BOINC project ever and that is a really bad start for me. :(

Don't get discouraged. It's not really a bad start, as you are still doing work for the project whether you are using the screensaver or not.

If you really want the screensaver, download BOINC version 4.19. For some reason it did not have the graphics 'issues' that the newer 4.25 has.

Nope, doesn't make sense to me either...

Edit: You will need to uninstall 4.25 before installing 4.19, but any work you have been working on should pick up where it left off.
