Etienne,I think you're on to

Etienne,I think you're on to something about this einstein.aei.mpg.de server.
I saw Edo had the same server on top in the scheduler logs.
So did John55s.
Can't see your because they are hidden.
But I didn't thought that could have been the problem because I too have that
server on top.But after I red your post I checked around and stumbled over my stderrdae.txt in my Boinc-folder and scrolled down to the time when I downloaded my first Albert I saw this message:2005-12-27 21:11:40 [---] Couldn't connect to hostname [einstein.aei.mpg.de](time +1hour compared to UTC).
Does this mean that I downloaded the Albertstuff from the next server and didn't suffer from these transfer errors.?
The same thing happend to my second Albert-computer.
Am I completly off here or..??

Message 22769 in response to message 22767

I Sharky,

Don't know for sure what was happening with this server [einstein.aei.mpg.de] but when I try to access it later, it was perfectly accessible... (with my browser, not boinc manager)
I'll continue to track this kind of issue to have confirmation, if it's happen again!
I'll check the logs asap...

I am having no issues.

I was reading somewhere on SETI that some connections (especially DSL) might be having issues with MTU sizes. You might want to search the forums over there and see if you can follow along and fix using their solutions.

I think you downloaded from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu because of your timezone.

Hrm, so an idea for the ones having problem is maybe change their timezone for a few hours and see what happens? If the only one having problems is de, then move it 3 hours back and let it get from the uk. It's a longer trek, but if the files are currently bad on de, this would solve issues with getting the executibles for now, until the team can get in and fix it (which is still going to be probably after the New Year's holiday).

Hey,I think that's a very good idea.
You might have to reset or reattach or somehow delete the faulty albert-app from the Boinc folders I guess (maybe even more..).
People,post here if this works.

edit: Two more of my boxes has gone to Alberts now and non of them couldn't connect to "einstein.aei.mpg.de".. Have they cut the lines from sweden to germany or what. ;P (I almost wish I could test that timezone theory..) ;)

Try a project reset first. If you still get a corrupt file then try detaching and reattaching.

Nothing works. I try reseting project, reattaching, reinstalling complete BOINC. Corrupt files all the times. :-(
