In life, who you REALLY are is based on what you think and do. Not what you say. Choose honesty and friendship. Things you do not do to a friend... you do not lie to your friends, you do not cheat your friends, you do not fight with your friends. If you did, then what kind of friend are you?
Aloha everyone! Born in 1951 and raised on Maunalani Heights above old Kaimuki town in Honolulu. Living life backwards. Short version, turned 18, graduated high school, got married in a nine day span in 1969. Between 1969 and 1991, had son, lost wife in child birth, got depressed, got a job, lost son, earned money, beat depression, married wife #2, retired, had a kid, moved to Nevada. Since 1991 family gained daughter, lost a stepson and wife, married wife #3, got a black lab mix. Tigger died of old age at 10:03PM on 30 November 2008. After 4,044 days it was hard for us. Then there are four of us. On 3 October 2009 we got a new puppy. Named him Odie and we are five now.
Moved with the girls to Fargo, North Dakota in early June 2012. Took them 10 days to get jobs here. Not many hours or money yet but at least they are working. My wife got a transfer to a new building her company will open in October but she does not start until 20 September so we are separated for the time being.
Hobbies vary greatly. Sports: baseball, martial arts (especially sumo), archery, bowling, curling, biking and hiking. Others include astronomy, geology, mathematics, physics, music, travel, window shopping, carpentry, puzzles (jigsaw, sudoku, crossword to name a few), museums, languages. That is all I can think of at the moment but I am sure I have missed a few. Discovered during the recession in 2007-09 that I enjoyed it. Enjoyed the chaos of it all and the fact that I had prepared us for the whole thing. While many were in a panic, I was able to keep our savings on the positive side for all but a few days. Now, just have to teach my wife not to sneak around spending money needlessly and hope my kids listen to what I am trying to tell them about preparing for the future. Hmm... sounds like what my parents were saying when I was young.
An inherited health problem has started affecting me in my early 50's. That has pretty much curtailed all the physical stuff and some of my mental abilities.
That is life so far, at least up to 2 August 2012.
Why not Einstein? Hopefully any and all results will be used to improve life in some way for EVERYONE.
